We were honored to see two signs created by The Great American Sign Company included in a New York Times article about upcoming renovations to historic Hoboken Terminal in Hoboken, New Jersey.
The sign in the terminal’s long hallway was produced approximately 25 years ago, while the seating-area sign was created about a decade ago. Seeing these pieces still serving the public years after installation is a gratifying reminder of the longevity of well-designed, carefully fabricated signage.
The seating-area location also has an interesting connection to music history: one of our signs appeared in footage filmed at Hoboken Terminal for Eric Clapton’s 1996 “Change the World” video. We are proud to have our work become a small part of this landmark building’s visual history.
