Our CNC Router is for Sale

Our new 4x8 router is due in next week and we have to make room by selling the old one. My old D-200 has been a faithful and dependable worker and deserves a good home. It is a good starter unit or a good way to add production with a minimal footprint. New X, Y & Z Lead Screws were replaced just last year along with a new Porter Cable Router. Old Barn Gets a New Tarp

With our winter being so cold and snowy, the structure of our old barn was packed and stacked for storage and waits for Spring’s thaw so that we can excavate for the concrete pad and dry wells. During deconstruction we discovered that our support beams were constructed from quality American Chestnut which is why the structure had managed to stay upright after over 100 years and an enormous hole in the roof.

An Old Barn Gets a New Home

One year ago we set out on a mission to expand the shop. We hired local architect, Dan Lincoln who suggested that it would be good for us and good for the environment to save an old barn and preserve some of our local heritage before it lost to neglect. We found the perfect candidate at 190 North Maple Ave, the very property that houses the great old maple tree for which the street is named for. Many many many months later and after managing to get approval for the many variences and permits required to green light the project we are finally ready to proceed. Pictured below are the skilled workers of Old Valley Barnwood, who specialize in dismantling and reassembling old barns, coding each piece.
