Build A Grand Entrance!

Build A Grand Entrance!

4/10/12 - Today we picked up the steel arch that the letters will be welded to. It cost a pretty penny, but it looks great. Just need to grind off the scale and the sharp edges in preparation for welding. We will be welding the letters to the arch using our new Millermactic 211 Mig welder. Since picking up the welder in December, we have been eager to put it to use for a decorative project.

I just received the rough draft for the article on “Tipsy Moose Tavern” to be featured in the November Issue of Sign Builder Illustrated. I sent editor Jeff Wooton a pile of photos showing “Tipsy” in various states of completion with a brief description of the process and Jeff pieced together a great article, I can’t wait to see the final published piece.

4/3/12 - Mr. Browne and the kids at Morris County School of Technology did a great job cutting the lettering.  The arch is going to look great. More local business should check out their local Vo-Tech schools.  There are a lot of talented instructors and students eager to develop their skills and help out.
