There's always an added excitement to installing a sign in your home town. The stone pillars prepared by local mason Alberton Masonry were set and ready to receive the new sign. With a little help from Marshal Bowles the boy scout responsible for this project, his father and the crew working on the donor brick path that help fund the project we lifted the sign perfectly onto its new foundation. I really admire Marshal for taking on such a big project and seeing it through to its completion. I have a feeling this is only the start of bigger and better things for this very talented Eagle Scout.
1st place in the United States Sign Council's Annual International Sign Competition in the Non Illuminated Sign Category
It is my honor to announce that we have won 1st place in the United States Sign Council's Annual International Sign Competition in the Non Illuminated Sign Category. This great honor has been bestowed upon us for a sign we did for our friends at Ridge Marketing right here in Basking Ridge. http://www.ridgemarketing.com If you like the work they did on our website you should give them a call. The owner Rob Quincy gave us free reign to create an edgy design out of rusted steel that we have received a lot of compliments for from the community and now this great honor from our friends at the USSC, Thanks!
Dental Work
Today we needed to remove an old rotting sign with a shiny new dental implant. We received lots of compliments while installing it and the doctors are very pleased. I just hope they give it a good brushing to keep it shining and white. If you would like your teeth to look as good as our sign, give our friends a call at 732-469-6662 or visit their website at http://www.brook-dental.com Just tell them you want your teeth as white as the sign out front.
Fundraising for St. James School Sign a Huge Success
Marshal Boles, a Boy Scout raising money to give his school a new sign successfully raised over $5000 toward the building of the sign. Brick orders are no longer being accepted but if you would like to contribute to the cause please contact Marshal at marshallboles@me.com and make your tax free charitable contribution. His plans not only include the sign but the brick walkway to the flagpole and some added landscaping around the sign.
New Sign for Basking Ridge's Bravest
Volunteer Fire Company 1 has accepted our design for the new fire house sign. Our design will be reusing the beautiful massive brick pillars that have supported the existing sign for decades. A little pressure washing and they will be as good as new. My favorite feature of the new sign is a steel reinforced arch that will connect the two poles and shelter the new sign that features carved gold leaf lettering and a fully sculpted Maltese Cross in the center. I'm hoping that the new sign will be a source of pride for the very brave volunteers that protect our community. I'm personally donating $1,400.00 towards the building of the sign, if any of my followers would like to help out with the project or would like to become volunteer contact Rich Moschello at r.moschello@brfco.com.
