Local Courtroom gets a Facelift and a New Sign

This year we have been blessed to do several local community projects. Our latest is a 4ft diameter carved seal for the newly renovated Basking Ridge Municipal Court. This was an interesting project, in that we got to try out a new process for creating realistic metal finishes on a lightweight carveable panel. For this project, the municipality chose a corroded bronze finish that we created using a metal infused paint. Seven layerers of paint were required to achieve this affect. Our final step involves spraying the piece with an acid solution accelerating the corrosion process, creating the aged metal look.  The designers were interested in bronze because the green corroded surface went so well with the green they had planned  for the wall behind the dais. The new courtroom looks great and we are proud to be a part of the effort.  It is especially gratifying to do a local project that enhances the beauty of our home town!

Fire Dept. Gets New Sign

This week we were proud to give our local Fire Dept the kind of sign these brave volunteers deserve. Our goals were to reuse the massive brick pillars that anchored the old sign and produce a sign Basking Ridge's Bravest would be proud to take their picture in front of. The 6" thick sign is built to last and look great for a long time. It features a 3d Maltese Cross using imported smaltz (inlayed crushed glass) which gives this crest a magical sparkle in the sunlight. The lettering is carved and gold leafed using 9 1/2 Sq. Ft  (1.75 grams) of the finest imported Italian gold. We always like to put extra effort into our local projects as a way to give back to the community! New Sign for St. James School

There's always an added excitement to installing a sign in your home town. The stone pillars prepared by local mason Alberton Masonry were set and ready to receive the new sign. With a little help from Marshal Bowles the boy scout responsible for this project, his father and the crew working on the donor brick path that help fund the project we lifted the sign perfectly onto its new foundation. I really admire Marshal for taking on such a big project and seeing it through to its completion. I have a feeling this is only the start of bigger and better things for this very talented Eagle Scout.

1st place in the United States Sign Council's Annual International Sign Competition in the Non Illuminated Sign Category

It is my honor to announce that we have won 1st place in the United States Sign Council's Annual International Sign Competition in the Non Illuminated Sign Category. Dental Work

Today we needed to remove an old rotting sign with a shiny new dental implant. We received lots of compliments while installing it and the doctors are very pleased. I just hope they give it a good brushing to keep it shining and white.
